The DDDF services a range of people through Catholic Entities including Parishes, Religious Institutes, Diocesan Agencies, and other Catholic works approved by the Bishop. This incorporates initiatives across many ministries including education, aged care, healthcare, welfare, childcare and pastoral programs, which includes services to remote communities.

Across Australia there are 22 Development Funds, funding a wide range of Catholic infrastructure beyond schools to better serve the Catholic and wider community.

Our Guiding Scriptures:

Purpose: ‘Go, therefore, make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded to you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of age.’ (Matthew 28: 19 – 20)

Care for others: ‘A new commandment I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.'(John 13: 34 – 35)

Sharing of wealth: ‘”What should we do then?” the crowd asked. John answered, “Anyone who has two shirts should share with the one who has none, and anyone who has food should do the same.”‘ (Luke 3: 10 – 11)
